The word “contact,” in this podcast, means a person with whom one has a professional relationship and can call for advice or assistance: “When Dora wanted to find a new job, she first reached out to all her contacts.” A “point of contact” is a person who has been assigned to handle all communication for a particular project or client: “Benny will be your primary point of contact.
