In this podcast, the phrase “to bounce (a check)” means to write a bad check, or to write a check when one doesn’t have enough money in one’s bank account to cover the amount: “We try to keep at least $1,000 in our checking account so that we never have to worry about bouncing checks.” The verb “to bounce” means for a person to jump up and down excitedly: “As a child, Yuko enjoyed bouncing 3 these materials on another website or distributing them in any way is prohibited.
